It seems like she has decided to follow in the footsteps of her late mother when it comes to being in the lime-light.
She is the daughter of former Minister of Information and Communications, late Dora Akunyili.
Her name is Njideka Akunyili-Crosby and she has won the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s 2014 James Dicke Prize.
Crosby, 32 is a mixed-media artist.
The prestigious award “recognizes an artist younger than 50 who has produced a significant body of work and consistently demonstrates exceptional creativity,” Art News reports.
According to reports, the award comes with a $25,000.
