Steven Gerrard was sent off just 48 seconds after coming on as a half-time substitute as Manchester United defeated Liverpool at Anfield.
Gerrard came on for Adam Lallana but saw red for stamping on Ander Herrera.
Midfielder Juan Mata gave United the lead after latching on to Herrera’s inch-perfect past and slotting home, before a stunning scissor-kick finish.
Daniel Sturridge netted at the near post for the hosts, before Wayne Rooney had a late penalty saved, reports the BBC
