The White House has been targeted by Google Maps as the 'Nigga House.' It's shocking. If you type in 'Nigga House' in the search bar a map pops up showing a map of D.C. highlighting The White House. For some reason people in the D.C. area can also type in the full slur, with an "er" and get the same result. It's unclear if someone hacked into Google or if there's a rogue employee.
A Google spokesperson tells TMZ
"We apologize for any offense this may have caused. Our teams are working to fix this issue quickly."
Google finally got to the bottom of that whole "n***a house" map search screw up, and it says the culprit is none other than YOU . if you're a racist who frequently uses those words on the Internet. Here's the explanation from a Google spokesperson,
"Our ranking systems are designed to return results that match a person's query. For Maps, this means using content about businesses and other public places from across the web."
Google Maps matches searches for "White House" with words commonly used when people discuss the White House in public Internet discussions.
If their logic is accurate, there are a ton of web users calling President Obama's residence the "nigga house." Sad to say, that's probably true.
Google says it's working on the "failure in our system" -- but adds it will take a while for the fix to roll out.
