Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State, shortly after his inauguration on Friday, announced the appointment of some key officials of his government.
In a statement he personally signed in Lagos, the governor announced the appointment of Mr Tunji Bello as the Secretary to the State Governmen (SSG) and Mr Samuel Ojo as his Chief of Staff.
The statement further said that Mr Abiodun Bamgboye had been appointed as the governor’s Principal Private Secretary while Mr Habib Aruna had been appointed the Chief Press Secretary.
It said that all appointments took immediate effect.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that that Bello, the new SSG, was Commissioner for the Environment under the Fashola administration while Ojo,until the new appointment, was Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Chief of Staff.
Aruna is a former Editor with the Daily Independent, where he resigned in November 2014.
